The latest invention & developments in the field of Bridge support & protection system “MSM Spherical Bearing” have been certified to have longer durability, enhanced service & performance life when compared with conventional Steel, Elastomeric & even Pot Bearings as they have limitation in satisfying higher & repetitive rotation & translation requirements especially required in case of Highways , Rail Bridges, long Span, Continuous, Cable Stay and Suspension Bridges.
MSM® Spherical Bearings are already approved & in wide usage in countries like Spain, France, Russia, and a range of other countries. And, to repeat, since the German Railway Administration strongly discourages the use of pot bearings in railway bridges, basically only MSM spherical bearings are manufactured for German Railways.
Sanfield’s state of the art production facility at Bhopal (India) is under strict quality control 3rd party supervision by MPA Stuttgart, Factory Production Control (FPC) certification EN1090 & above all CE certified for MSM Spherical Bearings.
MAURER MSM® is a patented, high-performance sliding material for structural bearings. In comparison to usual PTFE, MAURER MSM® is characterized by substantially higher durability, absorption of twice as high pressure and therefore small dimensions as well as lower friction resistances.
MAURER MSM® Spherical Bearings are technically authorized under ETA 06/0131 and are especially suitable for dynamic structures and usage in extreme climate zones with temperature ranges of -50° and 70° Celsius.
